Be Kind Humans is the private, online universe which contains many other spaces or communities.

This membership gives people all around the world access to the Kind Humans universe. From inside you can join any "public" groups that are appropriate and request access to any "private" groups that are appropriate. Beyond Kind Humans mandate for everyone to uphold the ideals of safety, kindness and inclusion, the parameters for the other spaces, events, courses, etc. are determined by their organizers, including if there is a corresponding cost.

My name is Jay McNeal. I founded this broad community and earlier projects because there was no safe place where I could ask my personal, private questions of diverse experts which, in my case, were spiritual in nature. So now, as a 50-year old faith leader, I'm offering you access to a community where there are experts from varied belief systems that you can seek out, if you want. Now kind, safe and inclusive people can have access to spiritual and emotional support from peers and faith leaders. You can casually get to know everyone or no one, peers or faith leaders. Faith leaders might be teaching classes or students in classes alongside you. Unless you click on their profiles, you may not even recognize them as faith leaders.

To be very clear, you never need to adopt anyone else's religion or belief system inside Kind Humans (or outside, for that matter). And nobody, official faith leader or otherwise, should ever pressure another person to adopt a general or particular belief. No proselytizing.

Kindness and goodness are our watch words. There are faith and non-faith leaders inside. There are atheists, naturalists, humanists, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Bahai's, Jews, Christians. Everyone is invited.

Every faith leader is invited because it will take all of us working together to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the whole world.

It may seem strange that I am a minister of faith that feels called to support you in the life that you are already living. I already trust that you are a good person and that you are living your life with at least as much integrity as I am. I am confident that I am wrong about some of what I believe and so I invite you not to all of what I believe, but rather to discover a faith, a religion, a spirituality that supports your personal spiritual journey.

And if "not religion," "non-faith," "not God" is (or becomes) what you believe then that is your truth and I will celebrate the truth and your clarity genuinely. There is no human alive that holds, owns or hand down all truth. You have to do your own work and make your own decisions. What you find or know in any moment is your truth. Giving voice to your truth takes courage and practice and should not be shamed. Anytime we shame someone for telling the truth then we encourage them to lie. It is certainly worse to have people lying than telling the truth, lest we blanket the world with fearful, closeted liars.

I say much of that to build-in some grace and flexibility in the use of words with religious weight or connotation like "faith," "prayer," "belief," "religion," and "God/god." When I say "faith" it may sound to your ear like I mean some "institutional religion." What I really mean is that we all have faith in something or someone. It may be that your mother loves you or learning is good. Do you have faith in that? Do you believe that? If you do have faith or belief then you have something else critical. You have ... hope.
